More About Lyfe Bitez

  • Lyfe Bitez was created by the author in 2011, when she was 12 years old in 7th grade

  • Lyfe Bitez original content was mostly Japanese: the comics showed the characters making Japanese food or Japanese items. The format of the earlier comics mimicked the format of a manga (they were read from right to left)

  • Lyfe Bitez is actually Japanese for fish, specifically Japanese Amberjack or Yellowtail

  • Back in the earlier seasons, Hamachi, her siblings and her friends had "God" or "Goddess" powers: Hamachi was the Goddess of fire, Thun was the Goddess of Thunder, Wuddles was the Goddess of food, etc

  • Hamachi and the crew were originally sketched out as boys, but when production began, they were drawn as girls

  • The earlier seasons of the comic were infested with the author's friend's characters

  • In the earlier seasons, the plot was to find Hamachi's real power (which follows the backstory that she is a powerful princess; she was on her home planet)

  • Season 4 of Lyfe Bitez was started in 2012 in the author's freshman year of high school, however, most of it is lost

  • Lyfe Bitez was on a brief hiatus until 2013. Season 5 began

  • Lyfe Bitez hit another hiatus until 2014. A new friend sparked the production of Lyfe Bitez again and it has been going strong ever since.

  • Hamachi and the crew age; Hamachi was roughly 8 or 9 when the series began; the characters stopped aging for a few years. Hamachi was about 11 in 2015. She is currently almost 14.

  • The plot of Lyfe Bitez has changed several times: the original plot was adventure. The second plot was to battle as the crew made their way back to their home planet. The third plot was slowed down: Hamachi and the crew enjoyed home life as they slowed gathered more information of their homeland. Recently, the plot expired due to low interest in the backstory. Lyfe Bitez is strictly comedy, slapstick, slice-of-life and adult humor

  • Currently, the series has episodes featuring friends, friend's characters, memes and other highly relatable scenarios

  • Lyfe Bitez is cultural: Foods from different cultures are often mentioned or made, as well as the characters coming from different backgrounds

  • The author often refers to Lyfe Bitez as an "Adult Swim" type of thing; she often says it's like South Park and Family Guy but without the racial, offensive jokes. The comics are just silly and are intended to make people laugh. The audience is teenagers and young adults.

  • The author, Amber, is a Christian. A lot of what she writes may be considered "ungodly". However, she does not care. Lyfe Bitez is her most prized posession.
